BACKGROUND
Proflight Air Services was founded over ten years ago by ex Zambia Airways pilot; Tony Irwin. He began by operating charters within Zambia and the region. In 1997, he obtained his first license to operate schedules to Mfuwe.

In November 2004, Tony’s brother Carl Irwin, joint Managing Director of Zambeef, became an investor and Proflight Commuter Services was formed. In 2007 Jo Pope, of Robin Pope Safaris, also joined the board as an investor. Jo has been involved in the airline industry within
Zambia since 1998. Now, along side the air-charters, Proflight-Zambia offers scheduled flights to the Copperbelt, Luangwa Valley, Victoria Falls and Lower Zambezi.

Objective
Our core objective is to provide a friendly, professional and first-class service on scheduled and charter flights in Zambia and the region. We believe that our clients deserve the best service from the moment they touch down on Zambian soil. We are a proudly Zambian company.

Meet and Greet service
Proflight Commuter Services offer a meet and greet service to all passengers traveling on Proflight Scheduled or Charter Flights. All passengers are met off international flights no matter what time they arrive (British Airways arrive at 06.15!) and also domestic flights. If the passenger is a hunter and requires gun clearance, this can be done at a fee and with prior arrangement with the reservations staff. In addition, if an international passenger has a tourist visa waiver letter, a copy should be faxed to the Proflight office on + 260 1 271 139, to assist in the immigration clearance.

Proflight have an executive air-conditioned minibus available to transfer passengers from the main terminal to the private lounge at the hangar. This is a free service offered to passengers arriving in the main terminal but departing on charters from the private hangar.

Staff and service
All our staff, from the cleaners and baggage handlers to the pilots and general manager, have undergone a PR training course on the importance of service and the customer. We all know that without customers, we wouldn’t be here.

SCHEDULED AND CHARTER SERVICES
With the largest fleet of aircraft in Zambia, Proflight Commuter Services Ltd are able to offer both scheduled and Charter services.
We have aircraft based in Lusaka, Ndola and Mfuwe, making charters accessible from almost anywhere in Zambia.

Scheduled Flights
Most of our scheduled flights connect to major international flights in an out of Lusaka and Ndola, and also some international flights in and out of Livingstone.

Charter Flights
Our charter flights depart from our Private hanger where guests can relax in our executive lounge prior to their flight. The Proflight Private lounge has recently been renovated to include comfortable leather seats and directors chairs, as well as a small kitchen and new bathrooms.
